3Di, LLC, Easton, Md., acquired EagleScan Incorporated, Boulder, Colo., a laser terrain mapping and imaging company. Included in the acquisition is the transfer of EagleScan's Digital Airborne Topographical Imaging System (DATIS), which provides integration of LIDAR, GPS and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) technologies
Jeffrey K. Harris stepped down from his position as president of Space Imaging, Thornton, Colo. He is now president of special programs for Lockheed Martin's Space Systems, Fairfax, Va. Space Imaging's CEO, John Copple, and three current vice presidents have taken over Harris' duties.
Semaphore Inc., New York, N.Y., appointed John Stanton as president. Stanton was formerly executive vice president for development and services. Ray King, Semaphore's founder and first president, will assume the newly created office of Chief Executive Officer.
William F. Todd, RLS was named as 2000 Surveyor of the Year for the South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors. He is vice president of Southern Partners Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying firm in Augusta, Ga. Todd currently serves as past president for the Society.
