The rugged Ranger is ideal for work in extreme outdoor conditions. It meets the stringent MIL-STD-810E military standard for drop test, shock and vibration, and it comes with an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water. The Ranger 200C features a 206 MHz Intel StrongARM processor, a 320x240-pixel reflective color touch-screen display, 64 MB of SDRAM and 32, 128 or 512 MB of Flash memory. Its soft polyurethane exterior makes the Ranger slip-resistant and comfortable to hold, and it also includes a 57-key tactile-action keyboard with separate navigation and alphanumeric keypads. The Ranger uses the Microsoft Windows CE.NET (CE 4.0) operating system.
The Ranger is available from TDS-authorized dealers. The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) is $2,199 for the Ranger 200C with 32 MB Flash; $2,599 with 128 MB Flash; and $2,999 with 512 MB Flash. MSRP for the Ranger 200C with Survey Standard software ranges from $2,599 to $3,399; with Survey Pro, the MSRP ranges from $2,999 to $3,799; and with Survey Pro Max, the MSRP ranges from $4,299 to $5,099.
