Lisa Van Horn, owner of Van Horn & Van Horn Surveying, Green Bay, is the new president of The Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors. She is the society's first female president since its beginning in 1952.

Van Horn graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and became a licensed professional land surveyor in 1997. She worked in the county surveyor's offices in Sheboygan, Brown and Oconto counties.

In 2000, she started her own land-surveying business, Van Horn and Van Horn LLC, with her husband, Les, who is also a licensed professional land surveyor. The firm specializes in property surveys and vendor specific global positioning system (GPS) training, serving Northeast Wisconsin from their base in Green Bay. She has recently been appointed as the Shawano County surveyor.

Les Van Horn served as president of the society in 1985.

James Wallen, Brown County real property lister, Green Bay, was elected to serve on the society's board of directors.
