Aurora, Colorado –Merrick & Company (www.merrick.com), a world leader in light detection and ranging (LiDAR), digital orthophotography, photogrammetry, hyperspectral mapping, and geographic information systems (GIS) mapping, is pleased to announce the release of Version 6.1 of the Merrick Advanced Remote Sensing (MARS) software suite www.merrick.com/MARS. The MARS software suite is a robust, production-grade Windows application designed to manage, visualize, process, and analyze LiDAR data with powerful visualization capabilities and unparalleled performance.

“The new release of MARS features a completely new breakline compilation tool suite. Not only does the application support Windows 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems, but the new tools allow our users to accurately and efficiently compile linear breaklines that support hydrographic modeling. In addition, our triangular irregular network (TIN) model now respects 3D breakline shapefiles.” said Bruce Adey, LiDAR Discipline Lead, GeoSpatial Solutions.

Merrick & Company, an employee-owned $100 million geospatial solutions, surveying, engineering, architecture, and design-build firm, serves domestic and international clients in the geospatial/mapping, infrastructure, energy, security, and life sciences markets. Merrick maintains eight offices in the U.S. as well as offices in Canada and Mexico.
