CORVALLIS, Ore.—April 4, 2006—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) today announced a new rebate promotion for the TDS Ranger™ X-Series data collector with Survey Pro™ software. Customers who trade in their old data collector may receive the following rebates on these purchases:

• Ranger with Survey Pro software: $500
• Ranger with Survey Pro Robotic software: $750
• Ranger with Survey Pro GPS software: $750
• Ranger with Survey Pro Max software: $1,000

About the Ranger

The Ranger is designed for all-day operation in extreme outdoor and industrial environments. It meets MIL-STD-810F military standards for drops, vibration and temperature extremes. It also has an IP67 rating, meaning it’s impervious to water and dust.

The Ranger features the Windows Mobile® 5.0 operating system and is available with integrated Bluetooth and 802.11b wireless. It comes with two CompactFlash (CF) slots for peripheral devices, plus a Secure Digital (SD) slot for extra data storage.
