GeoPDF to enhance use of Geospatial Data across the Enterprise

ATLANTA, GA - April 10, 2006 - Intergraph Corporation and TerraGo Technologies announced today that MAP2PDF versions for Intergraph product lines, GeoMedia and Digital Cartographic Studio (DCS) are now generally available. GeoPDF embeds geospatially referenced data for map coordinate readouts, distances and bearing information in an easy to understand PDF format.

The new MAP2PDF will export geospatial data from GeoMedia or DCS to a georegistered PDF with layers and feature attributes. This GeoPDF can be easily distributed and used in connected or disconnected modes with TerraGo's free Adobe Reader software. Users are able to view maps, turn layers on and off, query attributes, display coordinates, GPS track and create redlines and notes.

Users appreciate the new capabilities and the ease with which they can now share geospatial data. "The new GeoPDF solution will enable us to change our ethos on the delivery of small scale and overview maps," says Richard Legg, GIS services team leader with Anglian Water, Ltd. "It benefits the business by providing easy access to our geospatial data and assets, allowing us to move from an ad-hoc request service to a proactively managed self-service model."

The City of San José plans to use MAP2PDF for GeoMedia Professional to make data available for users online. "Publishing dynamic, intelligent maps and making them available for our users via download from the Internet has become easy, cost-effective and fast, thanks to TerraGo," says Vicky Gallardo, GIS analyst.

"MAP2PDF for GeoMedia and DCS allows our customers to now view their geospatial data, in the popular .pdf format using commonly available software," says David Holmes, director of product management, Intergraph Security, Government and Infrastructure division. "The ability of many of our customers in the security, government and infrastructure markets to easily share and distribute digital geospatial data is critical for planning and decision making."

"The increasing awareness and demand for location-aware geospatial data makes it necessary for non-geospatial professionals to have the ability to view and share that information," says James Davis, TerraGo president and CEO. "These products help Intergraph users leverage existing investments while increasing the reach and influence geospatial data can have across the enterprise."
