Austin, TX – PBS&J’s applied technologies group will attend the 2009 Texas GIS Forum being held on the J. J. Pickle Research Campus at the University of Texas at Austin, October 5-9, 2009. Presented by the Texas Natural Resources Information System (TNRIS), a division of the Texas Water Development Board, the forum provides the opportunity to network with nationally recognized experts in the GIS and geospatial industry.

At booths 111 and 112, PBS&J’s applied technologies group will host an exhibit outlining the firm’s GIS capabilities and supporting promotion of the state’s new high priority imagery and data sets (HPIDS) master contract. PBS&J is a platinum sponsor of the event.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to sponsor the forum,” commented Donna Huey, PBS&J’s national business sector manager for applied technologies. “PBS&J’s technology professionals are heavily invested in the state’s geospatial community and we’ve been fortunate to have played a role in many landmark projects in recent years. We look forward to exchanging ideas and product information at this event.”

The forum starts with two days of workshops on October 5-6, covering topics ranging from image processing to flood mapping. And the week culminates with the forum’s three-day program activities from October 7-9. For information about attendance and registration please visit www.tnris.org/forum2009/Register.aspx.
