KARLSRUHE, Germany― Bruce Carlson, president and founder of Carlson Software, is scheduled to present a lecture, “Break New Ground with Carlson Software,” here at Intergeo, the world's largest event and communication platform for geodesy, geoinformation and land management. Carlson will be presenting on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 4 p.m., in the forum presentation room on the second floor of the Messe Karlsruhe.

Carlson will be addressing a new, improved method that has been incorporated into the newest version of Carlson SurvCE for initially establishing station occupation parameters – determining exactly where the instrument is within the desired coordinate system.

“Since the vast majority of time spent at an occupied station involves measuring in or laying out detail positions of interest based on the initially established occupation parameters,” Carlson notes, “it is then critically important that it be carried out in a way consistent with the requirements for the survey.”

Carlson will describe the procedure Carlson SurvCE2.5 utilizes to determine the exact occupation parameters, something it can do with complete, incomplete, even edited data. SurvCE’s intuitive graphical user interface can also adjust to a user’s need for minimal, moderate or advanced functionality.

Carlson SurvCE is among the most popular data collection software in the world and, with its advanced, yet easy-to-use functionality, it supports the widest range of RTK GPS and conventional/robotic total stations. Carlson SurvCE2.5 is getting its finishing touches and is expected to be released soon. It’s a free upgrade for any Carlson SurvCE2.0 users.

For more information about Carlson Software and Carlson SurvCE, visit the Carlson booth n°1.307 at Intergeo, Sept. 22-24, or go to www.carlsonsw.com.
