Technical Tours
Float on a boat to Fort Denison in the middle of the magnificent Sydney Harbour. Watch Big Brother watching you at the impressive Transport Management Centre. Fight bushfires at the emergency operations centre of the Rural Fire Service. Snap into the SNAP (Satellite Navigation and Positioning) laboratory at the University of New South Wales. There are also 6 more intriguing tours to temp you:  Click here for details, but be quick as numbers are limited.

Optional Tours
Optional tours for delegates and their families are "at cost": there's no Congress mark-up! For example, you can enjoy a relaxing coffee cruise on stunning Sydney Harbour, walk up the arch to a breathtaking view at the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, explore the world famous Sydney Opera House or venture northwards to the famous Hunter Valley wine region. Click here for details of these and other great value tours.

Website Renewed
Haven't clicked on us for a while? The www.fig2010.com website was renewed last week. Now it's even easier to navigate your way around the Congress site. It also includes a short "Aussie dictionary" so you'll talk like a local when you arrive "Down Under" in April 2010. And don't forget the pre and post Congress Tours: numbers are limited on these exciting tours so book early to avoid disappointment.
Support Your Home Country

Aussies will bet on anything: even a race between two flies climbing up a wall! Therefore it's no surprise that we're betting on which overseas country will be the most represented at the FIG 2010 Congress. Hits on the website indicate strong interest from countries such as the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Nigeria. Build up your country's representation at the FIG 2010 Congress: talk to your friends and make sure you all come 'Down Under' in April 2010.
