Information for POB’s special product focus on safety equipment has been provided by the respective manufacturers. For more specifications, visit the websites listed under each entry.

CST/berger

CST/berger puts safety first with high-visibility equipment, including safety vests, safety caps, traffic cones, warning flags, “Heads-Up” rod levels and other necessary safety equipment. Workers are visible both night and day, wet or dry, with CST/berger’s lighted safety vest and lighted tripod/safety belt.

The “Heads-Up” rod level allows the rod person to look up, keeping the instrument person in sight, and know when to relax or “plumb up.” It features a 10-minute precise vial with two viewing angles with large viewing aperture, and a special prism allows direct reading of the adjustable circular bubble. Its machined aluminum housing with heavy-duty screw allows use with poles of 19 to 38 mm diameter.

Forestry Suppliers Inc.

The Emergency Medical Backpack is a mobile, comprehensive solution. Ideal for use in the field, this backpack contains individually packaged, color-coded first aid kits for the treatment of a variety of injuries. Constructed of 600 denier nylon, the rugged backpack can be worn on shoulders using the adjustable shoulder straps, worn around the waist by reconfiguring the straps, or carried using the built-in carrying handle.

Information Display Company

Information Display Company of Portland, Ore., provides a variety of active traffic safety displays in the SpeedCHECK product line. They’re engineered for maximum driver visibility without distraction, peak power cost efficiency and full-time operational capability even under very severe weather. Driver distraction and glare reflections are controlled by the mechanical configuration of the speed display panels. The displays comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices standards established by the federal government. A full range of power options including hard-wired AC, battery and solar sources are available.

SECO Manufacturing

SECO Manufacturing, best known for its top quality surveying accessories such as bipods and prism poles, also manufactures some of the most popular safety utility vests for surveyors and construction workers.

SECO designs and builds different vest models for a variety of occupational hazards, everything from low-cost nylon mesh vests to ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Class 2 and 3 retroreflective vests. The newest SECO safety utility vest (8372-Series) is an ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Class 3. It’s comfortable like a baseball jersey and features a radio clip plus two interior pockets with pen/pencil slots. SECO vests are available in standard sizes (extra-small to jumbo).
