Recommendations for Survey Programs

I have been using a 1990 era survey program for years and I am thinking of upgrading.  It has become increasingly difficult to work with AutoCAD files.

I want a program that works with AutoCAD but doesn't have the price tag of Civil 3d. I interact with Civil Engineers but do not do much design.  My primary use is to create and export point files from Engineers AutoCAD files.

I am looking for suggestions from other surveyors.

Title: Survey Programs

Try Micro survey or Carlson, both have 30 day free trial periods and good training movies.

TerraModel is a good survey program for surveyors, it is a stand alone program. It is not cheap but I think it is worth the invetment

Terramodel is a great program. We have used it since the mid-90's. I highly recommend it.
